Title: even moar flash help needed

I have a gravity system, and groundLevel (the variable where my character can stand without falling) is set to default at 300. I want the groundLevel to be the movie clip that he is going to walk on, which will have various obstacles that act as walls and platforms. I have a really shitty version of this and it's very glitchy, mostly because when he goes from one ground level to another ground level, higher or lower, he instantly appears at the new ground level.

its my last project and its due tuesday, after that there will be a LOT of less asking about this kind of stuff >_>
