That's what sucks about growing up on the internet. I mean, when you grow up just in high school, there's at least high school reunions and stuff. But here, when people leave, there's a good chance you'll never see them again and they become a memory in your life.

Reminds me of the song "Lola"

Probably too old of a song for most of you to know but maybe you know the spoof of it by Weird Al entitled "Yoda".

The best part of the song Lola is that it was so tonicular, but an hilariously large portion of the people who thought it was catchy never caught onto the fact that it was about a transvestite.

Telling them it was, in fact, about a transvestite results in a look on their face that is to be cherished for decades.

I couldn't follow a single thing that facebook note said.

I'd say that assuming worst case scenario is a good start, but I don't think you want to keep assuming that. It helps to keep you from getting crushed in the beginning, but if things get better but you don't learn to start thinking a bit more positively than worst case scenarios, you'll miss a lot of the better or best case scenarios.

I thought it was well written and I couldn't agree more. I've yet to encounter an Obama support who actually can hold his or her own in a debate about the issues. The most vocal Obama supporter in my class was this huge black chord with vocal cords that were apparently incapable of allowing her to shut the hell up. Her argument went along the lines of...

"McCain's old! He'll, like, die after a month in office. Then we'll be stuck with that Sarah Palin chick."

or the more infamous

"I like Obama because he stands for change."

Woopty-fucking-doo, I love my quarters and nickels too but damn. I didn't know that was enough reason to vote for somebody. And anytime she presented the McCain old "argument," she'd talk about it as if it were a fact that the man was going to drop dead the second he walked into the White House.

I thought we had medicine and doctors to keep people alive, if you're going to have McCain because he's old, hate him for his old-school conservative policies rather than his age.
