Oh, so I did. Sometimes when finding that a non-native english speaker doesn't understand me, I just repeat myself ever louder and slower until they either do, or submit. This seems to work on idiots too. It has the reverse effect on anyone with an IQ of less than 80 - they seem to interpret it as a game, and the scene can get quite loud and go on for quite a while as I don't tire of shouting easily.
