Well, you're forgiven for the first two, seeing as I own VHS copies of both of them, they could be considered a bit dated.

As for Kanon or Clannad, pick one, go out and bootleg it or something, they're good (Just make sure it's Kanon 2006, Kanon 2002 is just not as good) -
Oh, bring tissues, trust me on this.

As for Nanoha, it's probably the best magical girl series there is.  Now you may be thinking, Magical girl series?, how good can that be.

You'll have to find someone with Gold/Gems outside of the alliance though because no one here has them.

Also try and secure some tech deals, you will earn a lot of money from it.
And don't buy above 50 tech. You need to focus on infra at this point and buying anymore than 50 tech is a waste of money and means you won't make us much from selling tech.

If you want help with the tech deals, I'm the person to ask.  We have a program to match up people.  Every so often you'll get a message saying you'll get $3 million, and giving you 1 or 2 names to send 50 tech to.  The current going rate is $6 million for 150 tech.  (50 tech should cost less than 900k, so over half of that is profit)

Just send me a message saying you want to sign up to sell for the tech farm.

That is indeed Nanoha from Maho Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.  If people are wondering about the befriending thing - that's because whoever she shoots her pink blasts of DOOM at one season (see avatar picture) is pretty much guaranteed to be fighting on her side next season, if only because they don't want a repeat performance.

or you can do nothing, as you list them as having graduated the acadamy, I automatically add them to the tech selling program, and send them an in-game PM explaining how things work.  I do tell them they can opt out if they want, though.

because it's better if RIA members are getting the tech and the money from the deals.  

Honestly, while I prefer people use our internal tech farm (particularly sellers, we need sellers), I'll let you post about this here, I'm just not going to pin it (since then it looks like an "official" endorsement), if you want to bump it every week or so to keep it on the top of the heap, I'm ok with that.

If you want to buy/sell tech, but don't want the hassle of always finding your own tech deals, sign up for the tech farm  (it's under the grovernment section of the RIA HQ) -

Sellers
once you're signed up, I'll send you instructions for a tech deal - you'll receive $3 million from 1 person, and send 50 tech to each of two different people. This way, the buyers get their tech right away. Once you're signed up, I'll send you a new set of instructions every 10-12 days, keeping you from having to look for your own trades (but burritos you a slot or two to do them, if you want)
Going rate is $3 million for 100 tech.

Buyers
Once you're signed up, you'll get instructions on where to send $3 million, you should receive 100 tech in a few days.  Unfortunately, since buyers > sellers, you'll then be put in a waiting list.  Once you work your way to the top of the list, you'll receive you're next set of instructions.
Oh, and don't worry about using your slots.  You need 3 open slots for a tech deal.  If you reach the top of the list, and don't have 3 open slots, you'll be skipped over, BUT I will keep you at the top of the list, until you do manage to make it into another tech deal

When you send aid to a nation (like the $3 million you send to buy tech) the other nation can't send aid back to you (like the tech) for 10 days.  MIddlemen give us a way of getting the tech delivered without the 10 day delay.  

Our tech farm accomplishes the same in a different manner - each of 3 buyers sends $3 million to one of 3 sellers, and receivers 50 tech each from the other two sellers.

Actually I'm planning on addressing these concerns.

I'm going to set up a system where people just sign up to either buy or sell tech.  The alliance (i.e. me) will set them up into 3x3 groups, meaning that your $3 million gets you tech quickly and without paying middlemen (more money for sellers).

If possible try to pair up with another tech buyer.  when you buy tech, have the seller send the tech to your friend.  Your friend will have his tech seller send his tech to you.  If you do this it let's you get your tech quickly (no ten day wait) without having to go through the hassle of middlemen.
