So now I finally have a decent computer to play my billion steam games on! only took me ~8 years! >_>

specs:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780
16GB RAM
2 TB Hard Drive
Intel core i7-4770 3.4Ghz quad core processor

according to the windows experience index the worst thing on my computer now is the hard drive transfer speed since I don't have a SSD. >_>

So far I've started playing the new Tomb Raider and The Witcher. <_<

Sweet.  The SSD is well worth it if you can get it.  I have a 680GTX, and offload physics to one of the CPU cores (I have 6 with the 3960X), and run everything at 2560x1440.

Be honest now, is the 780 GTX overkill?  What did you upgrade from?

Well not really. My 570 Classified still plays pretty much everything on high and I got it like 2 years ago. I won't be upgrading any time soon unless there's a must get PC exclusive that comes along sometime...

while i haven't seen the the cost comparison for bitcoins with the sky high prices compared to what they used to be, i imagine unless you have a mid-range card you lose money due to electricity cost.

bitcoins are the past, Litecoins are where it's at now.  That said, he went the wrong way if he was going mining.  Radeons tend to mine 2-3 times faster than GeForces.

If he's running one screen, he's well into overkill range (unless it's a 4k screen, then it might only be slight overkill).

Also, Buy the SSD, 7 second boot times can be yours.

When you say that you watch her play it, do you mean that you watch the game, or her, while she plays it.  In which case, just how cinematic can your ex-GF be?  Is she more of a d rama or a comedy?  Wes Anderson or Luc Besson?
