I think what helped MIB 1 be interesting and funny is that Will Smith was the new guy and we learned about what really goes on in the world through his fuck ups and awkward moments.
MIB 2, they kinda did the same thing a little bit with K. But, it wasn't as funny. Not sure if it was the plot or not that made me hate the movie, but K's character is born to be the straight man in the jokes.
K was a straight man that was still funny.

Anyway, MIB 3 looks interesting to me, but I have a feeling it
will suck will be mediocre. The 3D gimmick is getting tired, because it's almost never used to enhance a setting or background. It's just so the viewer can be like "Whoa it looks slightly more real and oh my god that dinosaur almost poked me in the eye"
I don't understand how being more "in the movie" puts you more "in the plot", because it seems like a distraction, really.
And, hell, they've been advertising that this thing is going to be 3D from the start. And the movie still isn't out yet!
When marketing attempts to have a broad audience, rather than be like "Yo MIB fans...
check it ouuuuuuuuut"
I'm discouraged a little.
