Me and a few co-workers got into the xbox version of the game. Theeeeeen me and another co worker got sick of the server/game options, so we migrated to PC. Thinking of doing a dedicated server for a bit....but only if we get some others to play.
So, anyone interested in a survival game with zombies?
For the record, this is the zombie survival game that lets you dig as well. Underground bases! W00t!
If ya got the game or think you might be interested, let me know. The more people the better the chance of doing this.
-
Well...fuck you all. Interested or not, I got a server set up.
Name: Amish Paradise
Pass: Salt123
Join if you wish, play if you wish. If interested I might host a few other servers for other games in the future as well.
-
I don't have the game, so..
-
thanks for the offer, but yeah don't have it. closest thing I play is miscreated
-
Well guess what, you guys want the game, I'll nab it for yas.
They got a 2 pack that I can pick up and gift out...hopefully. Iv never done gifting before so...
-
How difficult is it? I'm wanting a relatively easy game to play.
-
Think mincraft with zombies.
Its honestly not THAT hard...buuuuuut we do have it set to difficulty 4 out of 5, with high enemy spawn soooooo...
However, I have it set so a lot of the player buffs are well...buffed...
Like I have it set where if you are under level 21, no enemies will immediately spawn around you for 21 in game hours. Also you start with a land claim block, and once you place that, it SHOULD buff all blocks you place after that within a 21 block radius. Not to mention zombies stop hunting you after 21 seconds of them not knowing where you are...im kinda partial to the number 21. lol.
Soooo...lots of strong zombies if you are over level 21 and exploring. Not so many if you are under 21 and just building around your base.
I also modified a few other random settings to make it...different...
such as there use to be air drops with good shit once a day that would show up on the map. I switched it to 2 a day without showing up on the map...so...lots of hidden good shit to find in later days.
My buddy likes to see how bases hold up the hordes that come every 7 days. I on the other hand, just like to focus on building the base and backup plans.
-
I already have more games than I can play
-
Damn you fake-jake, Damn you!!!
-
If it's not expensive, I'll try it.
-
you know what game I would get to play with you guys? age of empires HD
-
Bleh, it WAS cheaper at the start of the year, but the price went up soooo...not really willing to buy and gift it out at the moment, sorry. Specially after I just dropped 500 on concert tickets...
-
ill pick it up when its next on discount
-
Actually maybe yeah
-
Is Xbox one like a big deal in Minnesota?
-
I unno, I rarely touch either of my X1 or PS4 for anything other then netflix nowdays. I just got like 3 or 4 coworkers who all play on it from time to time. They are all too cheap for gaming rigs. AKA, they are pussys.
I only have one coworker who is into PC gaming sadly, hes cool.
-
i try not to talk to my coworkers about hobbys
-
We be a small close group of workers. The entire company just got over 50 workers before last year ended. Thats including all the front end people; the warehouse team im on is only maybe about 10 to 15 of those people including management and leads. Of those, I only regularly work with maybe 7 of them. Pretty easy to start talking about games, home life, and shit like that to co-workers when 40+ hours of your week are spent around the same 5 to 7 people.
Hell, we actually all get together for gaming nights at my place maybe once a month or so. Bust out the ol gamecube and play some SSBM and Timesplitters 2. Its good times/shit.
-
sounds about the same with the people at my work, i just don't talk to people.
-
well, that and im about twenty years younger than everyone else in the place.
-
See thats the funny thing, in the warehouse I work at, I'm about the oldest in the place. Nearly 30, and everyone else is in their early to mid 20s.
-
thats neat.
-
I think it's time to get the band back together Zeep
-
I agree sir kenny, I agree.
That or at least get a new band together.
-
there's a band?
-
Kenny and I have history unlike him and anyone else here...
History ALWAYS has a band.
-
thats super neat
-
Fuck if I recall correctly, I think I'm the one who brought kenny to the RIA.
Anyway, Kenny, yeah! Band, lets get it back up and going! Kyle knows diddle squat about servers, but I bet you know some shit!!! I got the want to build a new PC, but I already got two/three PCs built and around the house, I dont REALLY need another one. That said, whats it take to build a good gaming server rig? Lets get a good server rig built up for games, and just have an RIA server rig for multiple PC games.
-
Oh.... I see....okay.
-
all i hear is networking black magic.
-
I hear other things but it doesn't matter.
-
what's a server rig thingy do
-
well if your going to have multiple games running all at once you are going to want 8-16 gigs of ram so you dont run into any issues. an i5 should be more then powerfull enough for a processor, or a midrange amd.
all in all $300-500 should do you no problem. esepecialy if you already have a few hard drives laying around stuff like that.
-
Oh dang, help from the dancing putin!!!
That honestly seems easy enough. I stupidly got 32 gigs of ram in my main gaming rig, I can steal from that as its 4 cards.
Also got a hard drive laying around with 400gigs, unopened so thats easy enough. Got a old tower as well that I can see if I can fit the stuff into.
Thanks mang!!!

Fucking americans with their stupid fucking cheap gas and cheap technology...
I hate you all...
-
We hate you too gangs, we hate you too.
-
Yeah, newegg has a fantastic selection of old model motherboards for cheep cheep like my NAS runs on a $15 referb. AMD probably has cheeper low end parts, you could probably save a few bucks doing it that way.
and gangs, if you want cheep computer parts id be willing to let you ship them to me and then i can send you the parts? assuming they wont just ship it to india anyhow.

Unless you unpack them and use them (put them in a tower), it'll actually cost me much more to import parts like that, even if i buy and send em to you to have you ship them to me. It'll cost more than double the price of the item most of the times.
-
Dang...if only you lived in Canada or Puerto Rico, I could ship from my company a slight bit cheaper...
What if we bought it and shipped it to you, and you just pay us via paypal or something? Would it still cost a Fuck ton?
