Sometimes multiplayer seems like a cop out. Its like .. "we cant be arsed to give you a good story or a campaign apart from go here and shoot everyone, but we can give you a place you can go and shoot everything in the face with your n00btube!! how rich is that!!!"

As someone who does not really play online, i like single player games that can keep me engrossed. Maybe that is why i prefer rpg-esque games to FPS games. More to get involved with. Ofter it is the "non gaming" bits in the games that hold me to the game the longest.

If anyone here played a game called Lost Odyssey and remembers the "dreams" and how they were handled in the game, you would get some idea of what i am talking about.

I use Ubuntu @ work. Just to be able to turn up my nose and sniff when windows users ask me how my laptop has such awesome looking stuff. For added effect i like to have a console or two up with a simple ls-l output up, so confuse the heck out of them.

At home i use Win7 on my gaming rig, which is used for nothing productive whatsoever. Apart from shooting zombies in the head.

well given that the buying pattern out here for the majority is to stock flour/rice/pulses/other staples for two to three months... not counting the million nutjobs that buy their grain for the year... i guess we wont be turning to cannibalism anytime soon. Add to that the generic lack of firearms... AND lack of computers in freight vehicles.... i guess we are the new overlords.

Will miss CN though.

Hey AvT! Long time no see. What do you do for work that you have to fly for? You going to have to be away for Christmas then?
Been too long for sure. As for my work, i get to fly to places, pile on frequent flyer miles and best part of it is getting paid to tell people how they are 'doin it rong'. There is a boring part of it too, i take their money to 'do it rite!' for them.

Yeah, i am a spawn of satan, also called a consultant.

Christmas is irrelevant to us out here, but i will be home before Christmas. Planning on taking a 5 day mini-vacation with the family during that time. I will leave all gadgets at home, so my CSN dance partners will have a field day, but meh. Some things are more important than CN i guess, such as climbing cliffs in subzero temps. XD
