Flash game help

My friend is making a game where her character walks around on the stage and enemies come in from the sides and move around and she has to attack them with whatever attack we end up using. anyways, neither of us have been taught how to do anything like that and she needs hers done by next week.

so basically, how do i make enemies randomly come in from outside the stage and randomly move around too

and maybe as a bonus you can tell about how they can shoot projectiles in the characters direction

I can make you a program that takes a string, reverses the order of letters, and gives it back to you, but it's not in Flash, and it doesn't really have anything to do with this anyway.
