In my own house. And I wasn't wearing shoes or socks.
I woke up, messed around on the internet and then went to get some breakfast. I noticed there was a dark brown streak on my foot. It was about 1.5 long and 0.5 inches wide. It was on the front part of my foot, about an inch below my little toe. I have no idea how it got there. Surely if I stepped in something it would be on the base of my foot? I inspected both my feet but there was nothing else there, just that one streak. I thought it might be muck or something, but I smelt it and it was definitely shit. So I washed it off. I looked around the house and I couldn't see any shit on the floor. Maybe the streak was there since the previous night? If so, there would be evidence in my bed. But I checked my bed and there was nothing there. Then a few minutes later I looked at my feet again and I see that there is more shit on my foot. This time it was thinly dispersed along the base of my foot, unlike last time when it was concentrated in one area. I washed it off. Then I put on socks and shoes.
There is still shit somewhere in my house.

clearly your house is haunted by the spirit of a former housepet.

The Floors Ooze Shit: Agent Lemon Edition

Have you tried smell testing the premises? Close all the windows, and then walk around room to room, and if you find one room smells more like shit than the rest, hone in with a breathful, nostril-flaring search. Spoken by one who knows.
If you happen to find Leo while you're at it, tell him his input is required here.

If you happen to find me in your house, then you'll know the source.

I have been informed that the perpetrator was, in fact, my dog. She didn't shit on the floor, but I think she stepped on shit outside and then came inside. She probably stood on my foot, which would explain why it got on that part of my foot. I guess she spread it around the house too. It's kinda hard to see on the wooden floors. I suppose I should wash them.
-
Probably a good idea.

You know it's a bad day when you step in shit and you haven't even left your house

You know it's a bad day when you step in shit and you haven't even left your house
You could even go so far as to say that it's a shitty day.

YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I don't mean to pry, but what kind of shit is it?

You know it's a bad day when you step in shit and you haven't even left your house
And it happened twice.
I don't mean to pry, but what kind of shit is it?
I don't know, dog shit? My dog had it on her collar, must have been rolling around in it.
-
Dogs seem to have the inverse sense of smell that we do. After a dog has been shampooed and smells ok they hate it, to them, they have just been dipped in shit and smell horrible.
To them a dead animal or a turd lying in the sun smells amazing and they want to roll around in it like it's rose petals or something.

What kind of dog do you think it came from?
-
Probably mine, since it was in my garden. Why does it matter?
-
Just wondering who the real culprit was.
You are speculating - are you sure it was your dog? Did the shit have a familiar look and feel?

This post is so right.
I've literally slipped on cat shit, after showering, 20 minutes before work, and I slid from ass to back on the shit.
-
Was it your own cat's shit? We seem to be unfurling a theme here.
-
Yeah, it was my own cat's shit.
She had issues when I first brought her in my house.
Now she loves shitting in dem blue crystals.
I'm happy, she's happy.
