I think this game caused my computer to crash.  I left it on when I left yesterday and when I came home, the computer was down.  At least I didnt lose my cookies.

I awoke the Grandmatriarchs so I have to buy a progressively more expensive upgrade to shut them up for a half hour or else I get a bunch of Red cookies, which are bad.

I must be doing something wrong.  I don't get them anywhere near that often.  I've got 77/103 upgrades.  I do have the Bingo hall, but stopped buying those upgrades when the big warning box came up saying it would have disastrous consequences.  I guess maybe I just dont pay enough attention.  I have seen more this morning than I have in the last couple days.  Still only got 6 total.

The first 7 are a bitch because they appear like every 7-10 minutes or something.

The 7 and 27 goldens clicked upgrades half the time between goldens and also double the time they exist on screen.

I'm at 26b CPS and I have 2 quadrillion in the bank. 

The secret is golden cookies.  You need the last golden cookie upgrade, that doubles the duration of golden cookie effects.  Then you can combo Frenzy-Lucky golden cookies.  You need to keep a bunch of cookies in the bank to maximize the combo, a lucky cookie gives you 20 minutes of your current CPS or 10% of your current cookie total, whichever is less.

Just trying to max out my Antimatter Condensers to get the last achievements before I reset for prestige.  12 quadrillion cookies baked all time.  I'm gonna be rolling in those heavenly chips.

Chaining a clicking frenzy to a regular ass frenzy is pretty awesome too.  I think I got around 300 t on one of those.  I've only had one of those chain cookies and it stopped pretty early in the chain.

cookie chains are useless late game, they only give you 7 trillion tops.  a lucky cookie without a frenzy before it nets me 30 trillion.  the chains are really good for getting towards that 777 lucky cookie achievement though.  almost there, would be there if they didn't get reset when i restarted before the update.

i have cookie clicker open in a small sliver of a window to the side, while i do other things.  usually will notice golden cookies out of the corner of my eye.

in the beginning of the game, you just click the cookie fast and build the first couple buildings.  but you want to save up and trigger the grandmapocalypse, that's your mid game.  cookie chains can be worth 7 trillion, and the 666x multiplier can really help push you through.  really, golden cookies are key at every stage of the game.

the last stage is when you get the 77 lucky cookie upgrade that doubles the duration of GCs.  That's when you can combo lucky-frenzy, and you want to maintain a large bank to maximize that.

you want achievements and cats, that's the biggest multiplyer.  when you reset, it goes SO much faster, having already unlocked many achievements and the nice boost from heavenly chips.

grandmas and cursors are good upgrades to keep building, but farms through alchemy labs really only serve the purpouse of getting to the next tier.  portals give a small boost to grandmas, time machines are decent in their own right, and antimatter condensers are where the big cookies are at in the latest update.  if you have all the related achievements, buying anything less than a portal is pretty much waste, and portals are arguably waste as well.  they only serve to getting to the next tier of buildings, and golden cookies are great boosts to push you into the next tier if you seem to be slowing down.

and selling buildings is good for your soul.  especially if you're about to reset, it can help push you to some of the achievements, like 200 cursors which was so hard for me to finally get.

when you reset, you get heavenly chips based on total cookies baked all time.  Every time you sell a building, you get something like 75% of the current building price back, and that counts as an addition towards total baked all time.  so before you reset, you should sell everything, buy, sell, buy, sell, until eventually you can't do it anymore (or the returns are too small for it to be worth your effort).  not only can you do stuff like, eg, selling all your time machines to push for something like the 200 cursor achievement, but you're wildly boosting your heavenly chips post reset.  and you'll be able to rebuild super  fast and quickly exceed your former position.

So maybe the question is, should I trigger the gramapocalypse?  I didn't but that one, mostly because the payback seemed marginal at best. 

It's not really a matter of me not seeing the cookies so much as not sitting at my computer long enough for them to pop up.  I got past 27 last night, and now they are showing up regular enough for me to make progress.

I have almost all the building achievements.  Just need 200 cursors (have 190), 100 time machines (have 75) and 100 antimatter (have 67).

If you're not into camping for golden cookies, I'd go with grandmacalypse. The only con to it is the Red cookies and there are three achievements associated with it.

94th antimatter will cost me 1.7 quadrillion.

You get prestige from resetting the game and starting over.  There is a formula on the wiki, which is based on the number of cookies baked all time and the number you have that you will be giving up.  I reset with 37Q all time and 4Q sacrificed and got 273 chips. 

I only need 3 antimatter before I reset again.  Actually, there is another upgrade for 240 cursors, but I may wait until the next game to do that.

the game was updated today. Early game will take longer after resetting as heavenly chips now need to be unlocked via upgrades.

Golden cookies appear to spawn more often and consistently but I'm not positive on this. Combos are definitely more likely.

I would agree the spawn seems more consistent.  Can actually combo regularly. They were supposed to be increasing the odds of the chain, but I still have not seen one. 

Chips update is annoying. 

edit: For the record, Frenzy - > Clicking Frenzy combo is bad ass.  Got something like 3Q just from the clicking frenzy.

Yes.  It's based on cookies baked all time.  Each HC takes more than the previous to acquire, though, so you will gain less than you did previously (per equal amount of cookies reset) but it is cumulative.

Just reset for the second time.  Been idling for a long time, so had something like 240Q in the bank.  Up to 904 chips.

The new chip bonus upgrades certainly slow the start down.  Took about 35 minutes to get up to 1B CpS.

New update, stuff happens during grandmapocalypse now, things eat your cookies but give them all back when you kill them, some new achievements and a set of cookie multiplier upgrades.  still no dungeons.

So wrinklers are probably the best thing to happen.  They cut your cps while they're active, but when you pop them, you get all your cookies back, plus interest.  plus a fuckton of interest.  like i think you get about 3x back.

Reset at 3 Qt all time.  Unlocked Speed Baking II after much vigorous clicking.  Apparently Speed Baking III flat out isn't possible unless your first golden cookie is a clicking frenzy.  Not bothering.  Going for the 1b all time with no upgrades, and then from there flesh it back out to where I was.

The strategy for SB III, btw, is to click to 115, buy the first cursor and the 100 click upgrade (the one that doubles cpc), click to 400 and buy the second upgrade, click to a bit over 10k and buy 9 more cursors and ambidextrous, for 8 cookies per click, and then basically just wait for the first golden cookie and hope its a clicking frenzy.  The frenzy can net you the million if you're fast enough, or at least drop you off very close with plenty of time to spare.  If you don't get the frenzy, don't even bother wasting the effort, you're not gonna make it.

I keep buying them.  I have 112 right now.  I used to try and keep my bank above 266Qd to try and get the 66Qd cookie chain but it never happened.  Now I just keep 100Qd in the bank and keep buying shit.  The wrinklers help out a lot.

Yeah. I don't remember how many I have right now, but its going to cost me a bit under 400Qd for my next one. I usually don't go under 100-200Qd to make sure I get the most of the frenzy/lucky combo, which nets about 5.9Qd.

OR

Export your save. Reset. Export that save. Import the first save, get some wrinklers.  Import the save of the new game. The wrinklers won't disappear.

except speed baking iii is impossible it get unless you play a very particular and specific way and then get extremely lucky.  or cheat.  and then hack out the cheating shadow achievement.

I'm here right now.  I think the deciding factor is going to be that I can't play other games with cc running in the background because of lag spikes.  Which are not a good thing in DotA.  Not in the slightest.
