I thought football was just an american sport. I've never seen foreigners play it, or anything like it, except rugby in the UK. Lol at foreigners getting mad at american superiority but then they adopt the sport we invented.
joking aside, I have had people here call me a liar when saying 'soccer' actually = football for the rest of the world

Also, I can't wait to get back to countries that use the metric system.

You actually won't BELIEVE how famous international football is in India.
The most supported teams here are:
Clubs: Real madrid, barcelona, man u, chelsea, arsenal, man c and a few more assorted clubs.
Teams: |||BRAZIL, ARGENTINA||| i swear people in west bengal have had FIGHTS for their matches! These two teams are in a category of their own for us.
Germany, France, Italy, Portugal etc.
Crickets get bland after a time, sure it increases your libido, but there's only so much time in a day when walking around with an erection is considered acceptable.

I was playing yesterday morning and while we were playing, one of the guys screamed something about how, "That's how you play football!"
Being an American who studies at Alabama (we've won 3 out of 4 American football national championships), I was very confused. Also, this was an American who was screaming this, so I was even more taken aback.
