blows steadily from the northeast. It is a clear night and my breath licks my cheek and tickles my ear. Jets pass by intermittently, interrupting the wind with petrochemical thunder. The Big Dipper keels in the distance, and my ears are cold. In fact, my ears seem to be a top of mind subject at the moment.
