Never thought they'd make a sequel to this. The trailer makes it look like it could be pretty good though. I'll probably watch it. >_>

Mmm not really a fan of sequels per se but this could be good.

Just hope they cut down a bit on the supernatural bullshit - I get that 300 was based on a graphic novel but some of the stuff was a bit ridiculous (e.g. the dude with the lobster hands...) made it a little bit too ahistorical for my liking.

But yeah will most likely watch it anyways - if the cinematography is anywhere near as good as the first one I'll probably like it :P

Forget the graphic novel - this is all based on Herodotus' account of the Persian invasion of 480BC, and 300 stuck to  the original script like nothing else. 

Herodotus' account is a masterpiece of propaganda in 4 parts, for which 300 (Battle of Thermopylae) and Rise of an Empire (Battle of Salamis) are parts 2 and 3.  Part 1 would be the battle of Marathon in 490BC, and 4 is the Battle of Platea in 479BC.

Epic shit that I will relish with a BIG bag of maryjane.
