Title: Alternative forms of energy transport.
Post by: Gigantuar on December 12, 2014, 04:38:40 am
I'm curious, does our universe offer alternative forms of energy transport OTHER THAN electricity?
like are there other sub atomic particles that can do the same things as electrons? would them forms of energy transport be cheaper than electricity? or harder to harvest etc? I'm not asking about alternative ways to generate electricity, I'm asking what sub atomic particles could replace electricity altogether? What sub atomic particles could a civilization use for energy transport other than electrons?

basically say you have a alien civilization, they have more technology than god, yet they never once in their history figured out how to generate or use electricity. what form of energy transport would they likely be using to power their gadgets?
what does our universe offer other than electrons to transport energy and power devices/technology?
they have loads of technology, yet they don't know how to make or use electricity, what are they likely using?
idk if photons would be energetic enough to transport energy and be used as a stand in for electricity, if so how would it work? remember this civilization doesn't know what electricity is so obviously they're not using it. if not photons what else would stand in for electricity to power technology/computers etc?

Remember this is spam so speculation is ok. Imagination is ideal. it must be scientifically feasible though but not constrained by limited earth science.

Yes. Magic doesn't use electricity, and it powers many things. My cock, for example, not only levitates under its own mysterious power, but also has a built in pump. It is a magical source of power, in the right hand.
