Now, as sad as it is, if you only have the base game, you probably suffered through a lot of the little bugs that were genuinely annoying as I did. If you were wondering, a lot of these were fixed in Enemy Within. Meaning you're likely stuck with an almost-amazing game forever.

that's what I'd hazard. tons of little fixes in the DLC...
