Title: new Godzilla movie
Post by: Shadow on May 13, 2014, 09:29:50 pm
I got to see it last night at an advanced screening. It was pretty awesome and entertaining. They definitely learned from their mistakes with the last one. Its a bit slow at the very beginning but the rest more then made up for that. Great monster fighting and destruction. >_>

I saw it, I'm a huge but objective godzilla fan. Someone on reddit timed how long godzilla is on screen -- 10 minutes and fifty seconds. Also, they literally cut out every monster fight in the movie kubrick style. They cold-cut to a new act after Godzilla lands on Hawaii, they shut the hanger doors on Godzilla RIPPING THE MUTO OUT OF THE AIR with his mouth, and they skip the entire first half of the 2v1 for human drama. We only get about 1-2 minutes of cinematic monster fighting, and it left me with the worst godzilla blue balls.

Do not recommend.

Going to have to agree, i was rather disappointed with this movie, shoulda been more godzilla less human bs that no one even cared about

Are there:

- F-22s?
- Atomic exlosions?
- Hot chicks?
- Post apocalytic scenes?
- Large lizards / Robots? (YES)
- six-shooters / tommy guns?

If so, add one star for each, up to a max of 5..

Of course, this system is showing cracks, because Pacific Rim would be a 5 star.
