Return of cartridges
A patent filed in February 2015 suggests that Nintendo might be dropping optical drives and returning to cartridges like its consoles used in the 80s and 90s (and its 3DS handhelds still does). Flash storage steadily grows cheaper and more capacious, while disc-based media retain harder limits to how much data they can hold without increasing surface area, making a return to cartridges one logical solution to ballooning game file sizes. Cartridges also have the advantage of being more resilient to scratching. Another, more contentious way to interpret the filing, however, is that Nintendo is dropping physical media entirely and instead shifting to digital downloads. While this makes a certain amount of sense for many people, it risks alienating gamers without consistent access to a strong internet connection.

they really need a better word then cartridges. it makes you think of outdated software, not 128+ GB SD/micro SD cards. then again this is Nintendo and marketing were talking about so  :frustrated:

i would love something that can play 3DS and Wii U games, and then is the only system they make going forward. even without 3rd party support if all there people are making games for the same system then they will be able to keep games coming out often enough to make it worth buying.

but guis, the NX will have slightly better than PS3 graphics! AND, AND, AND they are pumping out more Mario games and POKEMON! Maybe if the gods are good they will resell us all the old Nintendo games we loved so much 20 years ago again!

God i wish i could buy a Nintendo console and not be disappointed with myself the second i get home and plug it in.

I never got any Wii stuff, so it'll be nice to be able to sit down and play mario stuff again.
Especially if there's mario kart.
Which you know there totally will be.

I'm losing weight. Mom said to eat more cake.
I cut cake out of my diet.
Do I need to cake again to be a healthy weight again?

add some kind of carbs, bread or cake would work. at least that's my experience in removing something to help lose weight.

For breakfast I had 2,474 calories.
I think I'm off to a good start.
Then this weekend I'll burn some of it off and hope for good muscles.
I really need to work on my muscles. Mostly my tummy. I needs it to be more flat!
But with less ribs, please. Really don't like seeing my ribs.

After Friend Codes for the wii and that shit Wii U dongle you need to connect this POS to the internet... that works about as well as a piece of shit pair of ear phones with one side busted that you have to hold the wire at a certain angle above your head to get any kind of sound out of.

Get your asshole ready for shit dongle with friend codes.

the Wii U and Wii both have built in wifi. granted its not the best in the world, and i never used there online for gaming much, but they do have it. im also hopeful that the new My Nintendo or Nintendo Network ID will help streamline online play.

so, you could probably do this with retroarch... i know they do netplay, and i think its system agnostic.

(edit: I dont know what those words mean)

yeah I saw somewhere a program that can set up a kind of 'network' for it. I was just hoping I could find something simpler so I don't have to try and teach the other person how to do it.

well retroarch is saddly fairly complex, its ment to be a comand line application... i know you can do network n64 games like you wanted without anything to complex, but I cant find anything that will let you do sega games that way.
