Random lnsanity / So this fucker,
« on: October 05, 2010, 08:10:03 am »
I've been sitting on this thread topic for awhile, obviously I'm a new-face but feel like I should explain myself for my inactivity the past week.

I work at Toys-R-Us.  I'm also a reservist in the Air-Force but you know, I'm also a large man-child and enjoy using terms such as "Micky's Magic Choo-Choo" as technical lingo in my career of choice.  Helps you maintain optimism in every-day life, imo.  Not that this is a bio, but I also enjoy playing war and feel a need to be around some ordinance "going off" every year or so; and get cranky if I haven't had my adrenaline fix in awhile.  That's my yin-yang and I feel like it gives me some very unique perspective when observing events.  One side maintaining its innocence and the other, well; seeing the more violent side.

Last Sunday I was on my way to work (have a 4AM show-time) so it was a wonderful opportunity to be exposed to some drunk drivers.  And I was, for sure.  Some kid from a very affluent hoity-toity family was out drinking all night in Austin and was on this way to a girl's house in San Antonio.  He was driving this super high-powered mustang in rainy road-conditions and probably feeling pretty good, was punching the accelerator as hard as he could.  He hit a puddle, hydroplaned, came across 3 lanes of traffic (performing a full 180) to hit my car.  (How lucky!)  Literally 8 days after I both got it back from the shop replacing my patched radiator, and receiving the title in the mail.  My Air-Bags deployed (they are inconceivably fast btw) and it felt like a pretty nice punch. (I'm a lightweight MMA fighter hobbyist-ish type)

Aaaand my car is totaled.

I hop out of my car and sprint to his slightly-damaged mustang to make sure he was OK, and without saying a word to me, he opened his trunk, produced a crow-bar, popped the fender off his tire, and started to drive off.

Now pissed, I punched through his driver's side window, grabbed his shirt and yanked him out of the car, and called the police from a rear-naked choke.  (I imagine that was quite a scene for anyone lucky enough to be passing by)

Conclusion: Car totaled, 0% Liable, and a really interesting police report (fortunately with witness testimonials) to back my case.  Also, Texas doesn't have to provide a rental car in the event of (in my case) a totaled vehicle, since they will be providing reimbursement for the total of the damages.

All I can do is just shake my head, what the fuck.

e: No net detectivery, I gots lawyers n shit on this bitch.

ee: on pain-killers, please ignore spelling, grammar, sentence structure, run-on's and things of that nature.
