Now, don't get me wrong, LL has had some baaaaaaaaaaaaaad meetups, too. LL still talks about them years later. I don't think a single meetup (sans the one up there I posted) was without it's CockPony later.
But, can you honestly look at those pictures without cringing?
The question is, who has less self respect for themselves? The girl getting gang-groped or the guys groping that girl?

That site is so fucking backwards and to this day I swear their current advancements are inspired directly from the spinoff sites (that matter).

I certainly don't nominate LL for that. I tried to have a Northern Virginia LL meetup. One of them stalked me and started calling me at work asking for weed.

I wouldn't meet anyone from the Internet unless I knew them for a considerable amount of time AND really wanted to, or if it was just so damn convenient that what the hell why not.

The only LLers I really know are the ones I have invited. So, that's the closest I've ever gotten to having a meetup.

I always thought of LL as an even more elitist version of LUE. I mean, I know of a couple people who have access to it that are pretty cool, but more often than not they just seem like elitist pricks. The site being invite only just supports this.

GameFAQs has been shit for years. The community (at least as I last recall it) is primarily composed of kids 15 and under and it really shows. I'll admit that LUE was better than most of the other boards, but it was still pretty awful in that regard. Honestly, my (albeit limited) experience with LL hasn't really been much more positive, but maybe I'm just getting too old for message boards in general.

People say this sort of thing all the time. First, the age part is pretty easy to dispute. From what I've seen, at least on social boards the average age is over 18. Also This (http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3864).
If there was a time it wasn't "shit" to you, it was when there were people you actually cared about who posted there. They move on and suddenly the place is trash. Just on PotD I've seen this cycle a few times already, the long time posters end up moving on to some spinoff or something, and wonder why GameFAQs suddenly sucks.
Then a new group of posters will form, all simultaneously leave to their new circlejerk, shitting on GameFAQs on their way out.

Maybe you're right about people constantly moving on, but if they don't come back, maybe their new place is better and you're just too stubborn to burritos.
