Title: The End of an Era
Post by: Leo on April 01, 2014, 09:58:24 pm
Welp....

that's that. It's over and there's not much I can really add to that. I'm going to really miss it, guys, but any of y'all who invested as much as me will understand these feelings of emptiness that I'm currently experiencing.

I'm going to miss How I Met Your Mother...

I have watched every episode of this show at least twice...

Sad that it's all over, but I thought the ending was very good, despite how rushed it was in the last two episodes. It stayed true to who all the characters actually are instead of forcing them into these weird roles.

It seems the ending is getting a lot of bad press, but haters gonna hate.

Not a perfect ending, and not the ending I necessarily wanted, but I commend the writers on its quality. I expected it to be more of a tearjerker (and at times it almost was) but the quick pace kept it from reaching that point. This kind of felt like the right way to end a series, actually: not over the top, but you know how life changed and you connected all the dots from the beginning to the end.

Like I've told others, I'm probably going to rewatch the final episode soon and then I'll finally be done with the show for a while. One day, though, I'll try to sit through the entire series once again to see how the years have affected my outlook on life.

I am SO glad that series is over. It was not very funny, boring, and full of annoying actors. I know a lot of people liked it, but for the most part they are kids who don't know what good is yet.

I hope the next Friends re-hash is good enough to watch.

I liked the show

It wasn't as funny as some, but it had a lotta heart and sometime some good tunes

Yeah, I mean, Parks and Rec is a better show, but HIMYM was still great.
