However, that wiretap is *very* damning. I heard a few quotes from NPR concerning him attempting to sell Obama's vacated senate position and even if he escapes the Feds, the pressure to resign is going to be overwhelming. He might very well end up impeached no matter what happens in the federal case.

I would say they have pretty good reason to arrest him- the 70 or so page affidavit on him has a lot of crap he should at least try and answer for. Even if half of what the media's reporting about him is true, his ass still needs to be in prison.

Hours of investigation?  Are you kidding me?  He's been under investigation practically since he took office.  His top advisers have mostly either been indicted or convicted.  And maybe you can't trust the media.  But if you can't trust the film clips of a federal attorney reading the charges and some of the evidence, I don't know who you can.  Because there is no way to "spin" some of those quotes.  "All they'll give me is appreciation.  Fuck them," when talking about someone possibly receiving a seat in the US Senate is pretty good evidence of corruption in any context.  Summary: lol Blago
