Nope...because i've had 2 hard postings and 2 ship tenures already, still have 1 compulsory ship tenure left but that's not for a while, so i got a normal, family station posting (had a choice of transfer after my last so i chose home :P), while im on land i'm kinda lobbying to get on the new aircraft carrier, INS Vikramaditya...that'll be so cool...
There are 2 cool new postings coming up that I can probably get into that I cant really talk about, not because its a national secret or anything, but because it's not been publicized yet.

They've been taking steadily more militaristic steps in the south China sea. It's...worrisome.
And not just for us, for the west too.
With pakistan, china is basically surrounding (isolating) us militarily both on land (in the north, building long highways that can be converted into landing strips) and by sea.
As a matter of fact, we've even had a couple of standoff's with the PLA recently.
China and India have the highest bilateral trade among all of China's trading partners, and it's in THEIR favor (we have a 65% trade imbalance leaning toward them), so this is mostly expansionist bullying/preventive show of power, in that they don't want to let India become the west's answer to Chinese power in Asia.
Our governments response to the chinese threat is to piledrive our economic machine out of the rut it was in and through all the red tape, we're banking (sometimes quite literally) on the power of potential economic supremacy rather than a military one. As a matter of fact, most of our military upgrades that are coming up, are mostly DEfensive. Anti missile iron curtains etc.

I guess I didn't really think about it, but I'm surprised to hear you refer to us as the West as though you aren't inclusive in that.
I kinda automatically throw India in the west without much thought I guess.
