Watchmen: The Movie

I'm going to give this one a big EH. They couldn't help cutting a lot of content from the graphic novel, of course. I do feel that much of the impact for some of the key plot points was lost. And no matter how many special effects you pile on, you just can't capture the feeling of certain panels from the original material. Also, they should have cut down the obligatory sex scene to make room for other details that would actually contribute to the story. Plus no giant man-made alien squid thing, so that sucks. I don't even know if I'd really suggest seeing it if you've already read the graphic novel. It's basically dialogue and scenery from that, but less of it, with movie effects and fight scenes. Like LotR, but not as complex. I went to the theater expecting as much anyways.
