...and it said that after the LUEnited nations split up, we're the largest GFAQs alliance. Is that true?

Yes. I believe Poll of the Day has an alliance but there still small. Maybe CE but I'm not sure...

CE alliance was destroyed by LUE shortly before GWII, IIRC. Thats what duffman said.

As far as I know, they don't really like us. That said, they're small and not een up to a level you could call annoying.
