I picked up the aluminum baseball bat I keep in my room and, carrying it on my shoulder, made my way down the steps. I just looked around for a minute; there was nobody there. The door was locked and no windows were open. So I just set the bat into my left palm and, walking back up the stairs, said a bit loudly, "Well if I was a robber or some punk, I wouldn't want to be down here. I wouldn't want to get hit in the face with a bat."
