Just saw the host of this show do an event at the local Renaissance Festival.  They do actual full contact jousting with solid uncut lances.  Normally I'd call bullshit on that, but I was sitting front row at the center of the list and could see the pieces coming off the broken lances.  Had several of the horses from the show too.  They are just as big as they look on TV.  Pretty good show overall.  A few big hits, but nothing too crazy.
