and as you can see I am making buttloads of money. I've been switching between max-tax-make-extra-slackers-burritos mode (which requires extra food so they dont burritos too fast), bribe-and-low-rations mode (to build up granary stocks) and extra-rations-low-tax mode (to get honor, and to get extra peasants that I can start the next cruel tax cycle with, or turn into soldiers).

but now I'm starting a beer operation in my first town and its' getting difficult even with cruel taxes to make the slackers burritos. god damn aroused by Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagans. guess I'll have to wait for another 7 day shitstorm weather system.

and yeah, I built my second town far away rather than really close, because I thought, get more honor, level up faster, then I'd be able to build a third city real close, sooner. but now I've gotten so much honor from the last two siege attacks that I've leveled completely and I haven't had time to even spend the research points. perhaps I'll use them as toilet paper, -snobby laugh- after all I am becoming a high class citizen.    :gentlesmugbert:

and the former parish steward of Cappa looks like he may be trying to recruit me to house 13 when I become Page.

anyway, here's my castle (La Mancha... my new town only has a little fort and has just started on its first tower).

as you can see it's about 35% done, with another week and a half to go as is. those towers take a long time to build.

I didn't have anything else to do with the stone, which I produce out the ass. Literally, I produce stone out of my ass. and I'm all like, why complain about shitstones, if you can turn lemons into lemonade, you can turn shitstones into a Shitstone Fortress.

you see the wooden building in the middle with the little ladder going up to an elevated room? that's where I go to shit the stone out.

but yeah, putting up structures that take a long time to complete in the castle is a good way to 'store' stone and wood if you know you'll have a huge surplus in your stockpile. later on when you've used some, you can delete the unfinished buildings and get all the stone/wood back. once they're finished, deleting them gives you half back.
