Disreguard my previous post, I had forgotten you Joined the Navy, and thus, your Boot camp was a vacation compared to mine.

You know, when i went to boot camp, they were still allowed to hit us, and I got smacked in the back of the head with a folding chair...

Seems to be a popular destination.  Several people i know who were/are in the military spent time in Japan.  There are certainly worse places to get sent.
