That's a good question and I will anwser it. The biggest class of Star Destroyer is the Imperial II Class star destroyer. It is a common misconception that there is another type of star destroyer called a "Super star destroyer" However this is a mistake and its not actually considered a Star destroyer. It is classified as a Star dreadnaught. Some examples of Star dreadnaughts are the Exacutor and the Eclipse class Star dreadnaught of which 2 were made.

There was a war between the side that wanted to use the positive energy and the side that wanted to use the negative energy, and afterwards, the Jedi Order was formed.

Then more people, such as philosophers, began to study it as well, but in a less scientific manner. They eventually discovered both a positive side (The light side of the force) and a negative side (The dark side of the force). It became "The Force". I'm not sure how they developed the actual use of it, but I'm going to assume that they became more in tune with it, and simply learned to mold it as you would clay. But this is clay that makes up life.
