The news just aint in there for the real politics. It just seems to make bs political theater to make sure that the democratic side or republican side stays dominate.

Well, in the newspaper I read this about Bush: "There's something no one but Bush could do: He made sure that the Republicans cannot win this time"

Yep.

All the State of the Union was this year was our highly esteemed Chimp-in-Cheif spouting a bunch of BS. There wasn't one single domestic issue, besides extending unused education credits to families of the troops under the GI Bill, that is economically feasible or socially acceptable. The international issues were basically a nice long tirade about how big a hard-on Dipshit has to bomb Iran sprinkled in with a nice veiled threat to Pakistan.

The most lulz was a game my wife and I were playing. You watch Darth Cheney and every time he smiles, you guess which member of Congress he's daydreaming of killing and how he's daydreaming of killing them.

Too much pretend killing makes Cheney a tired boy.

Eh, I don't hate him enough to start a flame war about it. I don't even think he's a dumb as advertised. In fact, he's gotta be pretty smart to pull off some of the shit he's pulled off. He just has shitty management skills and a fucking liar.

For example: If he would have just come out and said we were going to blow Iraq to hell and back for strategic superiority in the region instead of the WMD horseshit, ok, sure. Then again, all the damn Patriot Act/detainee/wiretapping nonsense, while good security measures, are just flat out unacceptable and Constitutionally illegal in a democratic republic.

What I've been saying the whole time.  Anyways, imo, Bush isn't the best president or even in the top 70%, but he's okay.  I won't be unhappy to see him go.  Unless the election takes a bad turn..

I don't think Bush's a good president and I don't know if he's OK, luckily he's not my president. But the American image in the world suffered under him, no question. Most of us Germans liked America before Bush became President. Now most of us don't like it anymore. And I think it's like that in many countries all over the world, not only here in Germany.

ugh, it was painful to sit through that speech. has that man ever said anything smart or truthful?

he's obviously not actually stupid - it's all a facade. and it worked.

but i won't get started on this rant because i have to do my calculus homework.
