Papa Rock is bad.
TDG is bad.
Disturbed is decent.

I'm not a fan of the genre of all these bands. :V

Protest the Hero
Listened to Blindfolds aside and Blood Meat.
Singer is bad imo, but their drummer is good. Thats about as far as my interest goes for this band though. 5.5/10

Foo fighters=8/10, with certain songs going higher or lower. DON'T HIT ME
I just listened to LA. It wasn't bad, but it was live. And.. he can't sing well live. :v But I liked the lyrics. If I had a studio version I could rate it better. -Continues searching-

I expect you to slaughter me on account of just how specific your tastes are, good they may be, I'm a bit more lax when it comes to what I listen to. These four have never lost their touch on me.
Daft Punk
Gorillaz
Foo Fighters
Snow Patrol
Currently I've been into Red Hot Chili Peppers as well as Flight of the Conchords when I'm in a silly mood. Specifically, there are few bands in my iTunes that have more than 10 songs there. I like songs in specific more than bands, like Why Can't We Be Friends by War (puts me in a happy mood almost every time) and Heights by Matisyahu (makes me proud that I can tell people I've listened to Jewish Reggae - a genre they probably didn't even know existed).

Snow Patrol I like about.. two songs. FF a decent amount. And none by the rest, and I hate RHCP. And xfd @ last comment.

-
C-zom has never heard of Sublime? >_>
I feel old
-
You *are* old.
;_;

No, you're all just young.
Also, I can't believe you've never heard Sublime, C-zom, they were like...omnipresent through the 90s.
EDIT: Same with the Offspring.

based on the things you said you hated i can probably tell you that most of the bands that you said you havent heard yet but plan on listening to you won't like... especially Capnjazz and Venetian Snares
i saw you liked Alice in Chains and Smashing Pumpkins and you pretty much hated everything else... hard to recommend music to someone with that narrow of taste in music
-
I have to say C-Zom is the easiest person to recommend stuff to. I have no idea if he's lying or not when he says he likes something, but at least he listens to it. Honest, I know alot of other people who are MUCH harder to recommend stuff too. You just gotta know him a little bit.
-
well yeah, i can recommend stuff but he keeps saying he doesn't like stuff that i consider to be pretty good
plus he hates industrial music which is the dumbest thing i've ever heard because industrial music is great
if i were to pick the best albums of the past couple years, they'd be:
The Presets : Apocalypso
Cut Copy : In Ghost Colours
Sera Cahoone : Only as the Day Is Long
Ryan Adams & The Cardinals : Jacksonville City Nights
Jeremy Enigk : World Waits
Kate Havnevik : Melankton
Miguel Migs : Here & Now
High Contrast : High Society
Morcheeba : Dive Deep
Styrofoam : A Thousand Words
Iris : Wrath
Supreme Beings of Leisure : 11i
and the entire Tom Petty catalog
there are several different styles of music there, something in that last has to strike a chord within you i would have to think
-

I'm going to have to disagree with you and say that he's easy for you to recommend music to you because you and him have similar tastes.
-
Note that I purposely put in bands I knew he'd hate. I'm a dick like that.
-

I don't think anyone knows if I'm lying or not, about anything. <_< I don't do this on purpose but it amuses me. I listen to everything I'm recommended. Well, almost. My tastes are generally dead quiet to heavy metal. I have a mainstream taste in music, and its not very expansive, but eh.
And yeah, getting to know me really helps when recommending stuff.

Not.. actually, no. I could name like three bands we both like. :v I mostly like metal n shit.

I have not heard of one of those bands. But, I will give them a listen. They sound good. :v
-
I've noticed, if it's mainstream, C-Zom won't like.
-
Yeah. <_< That kinda applies to everything.
But I like a good bit of mainstream music. I think.
-
well nothing i listed is metal. in fact, most of what i listed is so far away from metal that you'll probably hate it all.
the closest to metal i get is industrial... and then i like some old school punk music. but nothing on the list i made (which i quoted below) is metal... The Presets : Apocalypso <--- electrotonic
Cut Copy : In Ghost Colours <---- electrotonic
Sera Cahoone : Only as the Day Is Long <--- almost country sounding
Ryan Adams & The Cardinals : Jacksonville City Nights <---- same as Sera
Jeremy Enigk : World Waits <--- this guy was singer of Sunny Day Real Estate
Kate Havnevik : Melankton <--- downtempo stuff
Miguel Migs : Here & Now <--- house music
High Contrast : High Society <--- drumminbass
Morcheeba : Dive Deep <---- downtempo
Styrofoam : A Thousand Words <---- indie tonic stuff kinda like Death Cab for Cutie but more electronic
Iris : Wrath <--- synthtonic
Supreme Beings of Leisure : 11i <---- downtempo
and the entire Tom Petty catalog <---- fuckin Tom Petty you better know and love
-
sorry there are word filters here... i was trying to say ELECTROP.OP but it filtered it out to tonic for some reason
