I haven't been keeping up on the latest CN politics lately, so I'm interested on what you guys think.
-
I don't think it's a matter of WHEN, but a matter of WHO. I mean, who is left to fight against TI?
I'm hoping for The Great Civil War where TI splits in two and rages war against one another.
*sigh*
A man can dream

EDIT: In light of recent events, I am editing this story out. I don't want it viewable by guests.
But in a nutshell, I wrote a long story as to how GWIV would pan out.
If your terribly curious, pm me cause I saved the story.

That would be all well and good Brett if GUARD were actually stronger. GUARD has about 15 million NS TI has I believe somewhere between 40-60 million. NPO alone has 12 million.
-
Brett, that'd be farking epic. But that won't be happening for a while. I'm personally waiting for another TI ejection like with VE, that continuing until TI is about as structurally sound as a termite-infested house in a drought surrounded by a forest fire.
-
VE left TI they weren't givin the boot. Also I think MHA and maybe TF! are going to join TI.
-
Forgive my noobiness... but who's this TI? <_<
EDIT: Oh wait never mind, it's The Initiative...
What alliances are in it?
-
Ummm... NPO, Npo, gen[m]ay, GOONS, Fan, \m/, MDC and I think Im missing some
Their bloc has a total NS of 42 million.
-
that would be quite epic, but where is GUARD going to get that much strength? A TI civil war would be fine, we could sit on the sidelines and watch Planet Bob go to hell while we laugh maniacally at the huge explosions and stuff. I don't really know when or what will happen, but whatever does, now that we're in GUARD, we're either going to come out kings or dead, because chances are that GUARD will end up in it.
-
So uhh... who's in GUARD?
-
Moving to HQ.
-
It's not an alliance matter. Moving back to General Discussion
-
Damen... Are you stupid? Even if it isn't a alliance matter there is allince only info in it.

Dear god, how low have we sunk?
Also, for the record, Great Wars are a thing of the past. The Initiative is unbeatable, as recent conflicts have clearly shown. Also, anyone who thinks they will just collapse and go into civil war is delusional. Seriously, they dominate the game. What would be the point of a civil war when it would ruin your dominance? There is no motivation to go into civil war or do anything that would cause a civil war. People have been saying for months now that the Initiative would collapse in on itself and go into civil war mode. It still hasn't happened and it won't anytime soon.
Perhaps, in a weird sort of way, the dominance of the Initiative really has created Pax Pacifica.

The RIA isn't listed on that chart ;_;

Agree'D

Squirrel, you have to understand that we were friends with LUE before they disbanded. We no longer wished for their demise as we once had.

Just because the Initiative seems unbeatable now doesn't mean they can't be destroyed. Granted, they are dominant over Planet Bob. I know that. But isn't it that "absolute power corrupts absolutly"? In theory, what if one of the Initiative members wanted more of Planet Bob? By my experience, people can't cooperate for long stretches of time, particularly if large amounts of power are at stake. I'm not saying it would exactly collapse, because a collapse implies that it just runs out of power to support itself. It's more of an implosion- there's too much power to contain and it just blows up inside.
T
A Great War would be feasible if we could get EVERYONE outside of The Initiative to attack The Initiative. I mean absolutly everyone. But that would require much pre-war construction. By my estimates, using the total number of members in all of TI's core alliances and a rouge guess at the number of nations in their protectorates, I have estimated that TI only makes up about 20% of all nations in CN. Granted, this may be about 10% off in either direction, most likely upward, with a extreme guess of about 40% of all nations. Still, this leaves much more than half of all cybernations as not a part of TI. This seems to me to be a sufficient fighting force, if it was properly trained. It also requires a bit of luck and lots of planning. It also would require us having the (no pun intended) initiative in the war, at least if we wanted to win. To have the first strike in any war is a great advantage.
-
I would estimate Intiative nations number about 5-15% of total. And that's including all nations MDP'd with TI and not only in TI.
-
Actually Kaiser, there's at least 7000 total members (not necessarily active) in the core Initiative alliances. Hence, since 7000/37000 is about equal to 1/5 (7000/35000), I would have to say its higher than that. Yes I actually counted.
