Title: Why do people...?

A question that I have had for a while now is, why do people do what they do?


Some of the things I have seen other people do makes me stop and wonder... "Why the hell did he/she do that?"


What makes us do this? Even I do things that when I look back at it, I think "Wow, I was stupid."


I'm just wondering...

I do stuff simply because I can and I enjoy it. Well, most of it. And as for that stupid shit, usually because the part of my brain that is meant to stop you from doing it, stops working.

freud would say that it's either from penis envy, or oedipus complex, or some kind of anatomical fixation (oral, anal, nasal)

which is to say, repressed sexual energies. although sexual energy is really just an abbreviated form of all other energies. you know how all elements in various forms, if put under enough pressure, turn to plasma? all thoughts and feelings, if held inside deeply enough, under enough pressure, become sexual energy.
