E 74 is the code i read on my screen when i turned on my 360 as the lower right light flashed a blood red.


so, i still have warranty, however, microsoft does not cover 1 ring, only the 3RROD. it would cost me $100 to fix it.


here's my options:

A: pay $100 and send it to M$ (safest)
B: pay ~$50 and have a local store fix it (fastest)
C: overheat my 360 until i get the 3RROD and M$ has to fix it for free (cheapest)
D: mandatory Florida

Strangely enough my friend recently had this happen to him. He called me like yesterday asking if I knew what one ring meant. I had no idea though. He is currently in the same situation as you. >_>

just put it on a surface where it cant get any air flow and cover up the remaining surfaces with something like, yes, towels.

put the power plug in the back about halfway and then turn your 360 on. youll get a RROD

I got the RRoD 3 times before I realized that was what the RRoD was. I had just reset it and then ignored it each time.
