Title: I need good, free software where I can make a logo for a company.

GIMP and Inkscape are the only two free software I personally know of, aside from paint. GIMP is decent, but I'm no artist and, as such, haven't really used it much, so I can't say much more.

You should try adobe photoshop :), but its not free, there are some online logo making sites where you can create logo.  :smugbert:
