If you could change your past, would you? It is something I've pondered recently. Curious what people think on it.
-
Only if it affects my present.
-
What bum said.
There is probably no one on this planet that can say that they have no regrets.
-
I would take all the stuff I ever said about llamavore back.
-
There are things I look back on and have no idea why I did it, but I live with who I am and what I have done.
-
if you did change the past, how would you even know you changed it afterward?
-
I don't think I would. I may regret a lot of things, but some of those things made me who I am today and are the reason my life is the way it is now.
-
My life was more fucked up than it is now, but when I think of it like that, I guess my now has fallen the way it should be.

This is what I was basically getting at. If you change the past, the regrets, the mistakes we've made, it would change who you are as well perhaps. So is it worth changing your past if it makes you who you are today?
-
the only way i would even consider changing the past is I did something totally fucked up that hurt innocent people. anything other then that and I don't think it would be a good idea.
What good would it do? if you were to change your past in some way you could end up changing quite literally everything about yourself and how you act. I suppose you might end up better off in the end, but who knows. that's really the issue, one never knows what is the good and what is the bad.
there was once a prince, his family all loved him very very much. Everyone said how lucky the boy was. The wise man said "we shall see".
When he was a small boy he was given a horse for his birthday, he was very happy for it was just what he wanted. Everyone said how lucky the boy was. The wise man simply said "we shall see".
When the boy turned 13 he was riding around on his horse and he fell off and broke his leg. Everyone said how unlucky the boy was. The wise man said simply, "we shall see"
When the boy turned 17 his father the king died peacefully in his sleep, the boy became ruler of all the lands. Everyone said how lucky the boy was. The wise man simply said "we shall see".
During the time of his rein a war broke out in the kingdom, he would have ridden off with his troops to help fight in the battle but for his broken leg. Everyone said how lucky the king was not to have to go and fight the battle. The wise man simply said "we shall see"....
TL;DR: you never know wtf is good or bad till you see it all the way to the end. and even then you still don't know for sure what else would have happened.
