TAKE THAT EVERYONE WHO'S A YOUNGER SIBLING.
I dealt with my younger siblings bullshit for long enough!

I'm the youngest of my brothers...
-
No wonder you are so poor, even on CN!
-
Career: The CareerBuilder study found that firstborn children are the most likely to earn six figures and hold a C-level position (e.g., chief executive officer, chief financial officer and senior vice president). Firstborns tend to gravitate toward jobs in government, information technology, engineering and science.
I had government (kinda) job and was a chief of my department. Now I am in the IT field.
This study is accurate :smug:

I'm not poor. My economy is actually doing better than it would have been if I owned 25 nukes.
-
Actually, I was impressed with the accuracy. My sister (the youngest of the two of us), is an interior designer and architect (she works in middle-management at Sears in the store-planning department).
Also, I'm the first-born, and my first job was Government (army). In fact, despite my enjoyment out of video editing, I still LOVE programming, science, and have always been fascinated by engineering (for many years, I wanted to be a "chief engineer" on a naval ship).
-
Middle child:
Career: At work, they generally make good team players, facilitators and researchers, the CareerBuilder study notes. A middle child is the most likely to report holding an entry-level position and earning less than $35,000. Middle children lean toward public service and caretaking roles, including law enforcement, firefighting, construction, education and personal care.
Wroooong!
-
"Middle children lean toward public service and caretaking roles, includingeducation." Fuck. So my want to be a teacher was already designed by the stars?
-
More like by your parents either wanting more kids or buying cheap condoms.

I'm pretty sure my younger brother makes more money than me. But just a little bit more.
He's in the navy. Nuclear Engineer.

Hey I got offered a job doinfg that. Decided against it because the recruiter described it as "licking the reactor to make sure its still radioactive".
-
I have a government salary...nuff said...
Though i do get most things for free/large discounts.

You make less than what the government pays...?
-
I work at 7-11, and go to school towards a Sociology based degree. My sister(middle) does drugs and is about to flunk grade 8 a second time. My youngest brother has an attitude problem and is in grade 1, but can be the sweetest kid you'd know.
None of us have really developed to the point of knowing what's up. And yes, there's a 14 year difference between my brother and I.

Nuclear engineers in the Navy make BANK. Then again, they receive MASSIVE doses of radiation so... it's an even trade?

So, your saying that the research that shows the oldest makes the most money is right? :troll:

If he's a civilian, then yes. I thought his brother was a technical officer, In which case he'd get the salary in accordance to his government officer grade.

Having a government salary is a bad thing? Definitely not where I live.

Yeah, I could only prevent my parents from procreating for so long before they managed to get one in.

It isn't bad exactly, it's just not enough, unless you're a pakistani or something... those SoBs get some phat ass dough son...
I mean, I live in a type 5 apartment, that's 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, a sitting room and 3 balconies looking out over one of the most uppity neighbourhoods in kolkata.
I'm the member of 3 high profile gentlemen's clubs, where i have to pay a mere fraction of what civilians do, (2 out of those three clubs have a 90%+ military membership.)
I get free basic food supplies. We have an awesome officer's mess here for the not so basic food. I look good in my officer whites. Besides all that, we get free sports/athletics facilities and whatnot. I get cool office cars for PERSONAL use etc.
I live well enough... WITHIN the military infrastructure... however I get paid a paltry $28000 a frikking year...
I can look forward to eventually increasing that figure to around $38000 if i decide to stick with the Indian Navy... which I wont...
I'll take early retirement and join up with the merchant navy... I'll earn about $200000 a year then.
It's rather sad actually, ive literally had oxets whizzing past my ears for this country, my own dad's been shot twice in his military career, and we still get paid poop.
-
And I've spoken to a few US naval officers about this on the joint excercise habu nag. I was lucky to go there in Rear Admiral Satish Soni's entourage, he's the flag officer commanding, eastern fleet.
The US naval officers said that they sailed on the same boat as us... pun intended.
So unless they were just being polite...
-
and we still get paid poop.
I feel that this is appropriate.
