I can get in for anywhere. I usually go through mibbit, but when I get there it won't even try to connect. When I try to use the chat on the forum, I get a black screen, both in Chrome and Firefox. Checked noscript and everything is allowed. WTF.

Works fine for me once I allow mibbit, amazonaws, and google in NoScript.

It has outages for me too Jenne, usually once or twice a week. I switched over to mirc now though.

I have downloaded and deleted mIRC many times. It's a pain in the ass to get working, or maybe I'm just retarded. I was at least able to get on yesterday, but the look of it was like something out of the early 90's.

Use Xchat WDK if you're on Windows, Xchat straight on Linux, or...well, Xchat Aqua was pretty dead on Mac last I heard so I dunno what's good on Macs. I've been using the Xchat Silverex build on Windows for years but it's long halted and not aging well, and lack of native x64 support has been a bother. Learned of the WDK build a few months ago and I haven't turned back, it's a great client.

Seems like a decent option. It still looks old, but it's easy enough to set up and make functional.
