I just bought a house!
I said enough with the apartments. Enough with the neighbors who share walls, enough with the inspections, enough with the rent going down the toilet and never paying anything off.
Have been looking for a few months now, but finally just nabbed myself one. Saw it saturday and filled out an offer. Heard back from them Monday night, and we close on the 6th.
BOOYAH!
100 year old house, so its got character and awesomeness!
1,900 sq feet, HELL of a lot more then the mid 700 I got now.
3 floors! Basement, main, upper! My cats have never seen stairs before!
2 and a half car garage. Insulated, pull down ladder to the rafters, and workbench installed. As well as a vent for a heater. HELLO MANCAVE!
Best part about it? THE CHARM/CHARACTER OF IT BEING 100 YEARS OLD! I got environmentally UNfriendly windows(No kidding, this is a plus)! The basement is a 6 foot 2 inch tall basement, MIDGET FRIENDLY! And the kitchen sink has its own closet! And by that, I mean it IS in a closet! The previous owners remodeled the kitchen, and put the sink in the closet. BOOYA! CLOSET SINK!
Totally stoked to start moving in.

I get to go with an inspector tomorrow to go through the house to make sure everything is up to code and all that humbug. I'll make sure to try to nab some photos or maybe even video for everyone.

It wont be a scooby doo story. Do any scooby doo stories you know of contain a 6 foot 2 high basement, and a FULLY carpeted room? SPECIALLY in a house with leaded windows?

Oh yeah, and not that it matters...but the previous residents bought it 4 months ago. They moved in, and then decided Minnesota was not their thing. Thus they bailed out of MN, teaching them to NOT move to a northern state in the middle of the winter.
Past that, there is a set of 3 children's handprints in a basement wall, marked with the names and '1991.'
On that note though. The people who bought it and bailed soon after? One of them stuck around to sell the house. Point being, there is still someone temporarily living there. So not sure how many photos I can take tomorrow, as I dont really want to be taking pictures of all their crap.

And my bad. By 'we' I mean me. I guess I kinda group everyone into this whole ordeal. I have a co-worker who is going to rent a room. I have a realtor who has been a major help, and grandparents who have also been a major help. I mean, I'm buying it, its my house and my money and all that...but yeah...alone? I probably would not be buying this house. They all helped in one way or another that made this possible.

Well, closing date changed to the 16th, OR sooner if they finish required repairs sooner. They needed to finish a window and fix electrical in the house before I can move in...bleh.

Mind you, this video was done by some random realtor in the beginning of april...but meh! Its the best I can do for now. And no, I dont get the furniture or the car. BUT I do get the home security system that you can hear when he enters the house! Video cameras and notification when the front or back doors are open. SCWEET!

No, I didnt buy it off youtube. Some other realtor threw up that video on youtube the same day I put an offer on it. Some video tour for his people. I just stole the video from him and never looked back. Its my house dang it, I can do as I wish with the video.
And yeah, the kitchen is a bit small, but the rest of the house is lovely, so I can stand a small kitchen and the closet sink. lol.

Dont close till the 16th, so I cant exactly sex it up in the place yet. Also lack a girlfriend or female friends willing to help with the sexing of the house. And since I am not smooth with the ladies, it may be a bit more difficult of a task then said.

I have an old co-worker who use to romp around with me after work, who is still interested in me. Just happens that we never have the same days off and we both lack vehicles at the time.
I also have a lovely lady about 2 hours away from me who would love to help with the sexing of the house...but 2 hour drive is a bit far unless its for a day or more, and we never have the same days off.
There is also another chick I hit it off with the other week who would probably be open to the idea. However she has a therapy dog that needs to go with her, and I have cats and im not a dog person.
So I guess, aside from the 3 that are possibilities, im not smooth.

Nice! One problem though... you can't watch "Bros & Blondes 3" without seeing parts 1 and 2 first, or the story won't make sense.
