The game was great. New gameplay was loads of fun.
The story was a bit lacking. You played as Vaan, a side-character in the story of Ashe.
But, my biggest complaint was that...
It was not Final Fantasy.
It had a completely different feel. It just WASN'T FF. Or at least, the final fantasy I know and love.
