ok so i will start off easy and as people answer them i'll make them harder




start with (they will all be this kinda problem)

jug o water

have a 9 cup and a 12 cup, get 6 cups

1. Fill 12-cup.
2. Pour 12-cup into 9-cup. 12-cup now holds 3 cups.
3. Empty jug.
4. Pour 12-cup into jug.
5. Fill 12-cup.
6. Pour 12-cup into 9-cup. 12-cup now holds 3 cups.
7. Pour jug into 12-cup. 12-cup now holds 6 cups.

Eyeball half of the 12 cup. You'll be within standard error ranges either way.

Actually, yes. To get exactly half in a container turn the glass sideways until the bottom of the lip is even with the top of the base of the glass. PRESTO, half the contents, instantly!
