Well, I guess I'll write what's on my mind.
PHP 6 is going to be fucking amazing!
But, how mainstream will it ever be? Barely any web hosts support the latest version of PHP 5! Hell, most don't even have PHP 5 and instead have PHP 4 (I'm not counting any web servers that do not have PHP at all).
PHP 6 will be a luxury to have in the consumer web host market. And, that frightens me. The ignorance of web hosts is slowing down the progress of the Internet.
And, unfortunately, the same thing is happening to MySQL and Apache as well.

Hmm, I agree but I try to use what is most supported, not what is most convenient.
That means a lot of checking in IE 6, an taking the time to add in the code workarounds so that it displays properly in older browsers. With that mindset it takes me a year, maybe more. To actually move up a level in progress.
