Title: Has anybody here read World War Z or the Zombie Survival Guide?
Post by: Joker on October 27, 2007, 08:50:43 pm
Because tomorrow, after participating in a zombie walk hoped to be the world's largest (I was in the current largest one last year, so I'll be breaking "my own" record!), I'm gonna go get my copies of WWZ and the Zombie Survival Guide signed by Max Brooks, the author!

Oh, you lucky bastard.  I own the Zombie Survival Guide, but I've read World War Z.

I have no clue C-zom. But either way I got to hear Max Brooks lecture and take questions, asked him one myself, got it answered, and got my book signed. My sister got the ZSG signed for herself since technically it's hers. He was a pretty funny guy, which is totally expected when you're the son of Mel Brooks, and he's a gigantic nerd who referenced about a half dozen zombie movies, Resident Evil (the game!!!), LotR, The Office, and numerous historical events (correctly, I might add - that'd totally ruin it for me if he was off in historical references, since my main area of nerdiness is history).

I embarrassed to admit I didn't say anything to him as I got my book signed, but it was still pretty cool.

Also, we broke the record for the largest zombie walk for the second year in a row!
