it's a comedy/CockPony show. it doesn't have to be serious and not-over-acted. in fact the things they deal with in the show are serious enough as it is, so they probably have to overact to keep it from becoming a depressing OMG EVERYONES DYING AND IT ARE DRIVE ME CRAZY HEALTH SYSTEM ARE BROKE AND BEING DOCTOR IS BAD FOR MY LOVE LIFE.
