What was the last movie you watched?

I'll use this topic as a general movie topic. Post the last movie you watched. Talk about it, get involved, hopefully this topic can go somewhere.

Last movie I watched was Black Hawk Down. Despite some good imagery and the always good directing of Ridley Scott... I just couldn't get into this movie. Its cheesy, completely misinformed, cryptic for the sake of being so and really doesn't have much substance beyond trying to cram itself with as many unfortunate war scenes as possible.  By the end of the movie when they said "19 americans died" in the operation it made me realize that how the movie portrayed it made it seem like hundreds.

I like Scott, but not really a huge fan of BHD.

Damn, you are crazy.  That movie was non stop action.  Nothing but intense from beginning to end.  Misinformed or not, it's still a good movie.  Not great, but still good.


I watched Zombieland last weekend.  It was ok.  Cheesy yes, but you had to expect that.  I'm just glad I didn't pay to see it.

The last movie I saw was Rush Hour. Its still one of my fav. comedy movies, and those who say no I will go Eric Cartman on your ass and kick you right in the nuts!

I saw dirty harry 2 last, liked it, i like clint eastwood movies, the dirty harry series is not nearly as good as the good the bad and the ugly (which i think was his best).

Well this was bound to happen...But last movie I watched was Black Hawk Down. Basically everything that C-zom said rings true for me as well. They really did try and make it seem like it was a massacre of the US forces but in no way was it. Although obviously 19 deaths is still unfortunate, they portrayed it as many. Not to mention they made it seem like the two snipers were by themselves in defending the crashes helicopter. The entire pilot's crew was their and defending the helicopter. The Somali Militia killed the two snipers and the entire pilot's crew and took the pilot hostage. It seemed the attributed most of the deaths to rangers but most of the 19 came from Black Hawks going down.

The only thing watching Adam Sandler comedies does to me is remind me of a better time when comedy was actually good. RIP George Fucking Carlin.

Dirty Harry 5, finally the series is complete, this was surprisingly better then i had expected although it was a bit anticlimactic like a few of the other movies.

adam sandler generally isn't that funny. his sense of humor is stuck at a certain stage, late 80s early 90s.

whenever a comedian's style of comedy is based on shocking people, it becomes obsolete fairly quickly, and either the comedian keeps developing new 'edgier' shit to keep up with what is on the edge of what shocks society and stimulates society, or their humor becomes a throwback that only a certain group of people enjoy. fortunately comedians can still make money with outdated humor by marketing it to stupid college kids and people who's sense of humor hasn't changed.

that said some of adam sandlers movies have some pretty funny moments, but a lot of it is just dumb. not saying he can't be funny just that one aspect of his comedy is outdated. but some people like it that way so good for them.
