MMA is typically a flaw for some parts, because muay thai can't be incorporated with floor - grappling work at all, because of the different way muay thai fighter go about fighting up close which usually ends the fight instantly as soon as fighters enter the clinch range:

Muay thai fights are different, and even that shit you're seeing in the lumpini stadium, is somewhat churched. People used to die at a high rate in matches, and today just blood flies. You don't see that in the UFC, but you do see men in tight shorts trying to hug each other's arm or leg sockets out of place.

Your only a few years older then me ;_; . Anyway any form of martia arts can be incorporated into mma,  muay thai for example means you don't have to go to the ground, just give a few face kicks when they go for something. I do taekwondo, but they don't teach much in the whole ground work department thats why I take an mma too. I knew about the high death rates of muay thai fights, but that was because they were muay thai fights from Thailand, where they didn't end till someone died. Thats why mma companies have rules now, so that they don't kill each other, same with muay thai fights now.

I think mma in UFC is still governed by the same rules used on the distinct ma styles. the mix of mma in UFC is not the mix of mma used for actual hand to hand combat. I guess you'd mix the moves based on what you wanted to do to someone in what context, and if you're fighting in a league, what the rules of the league allow. and wouldn't anytime someone uses more than one martial art at the same time be considered mma?

I like UFC because the fights are varied... strictly boxing is boring imo.
