That really ruined a lot of my innocence, watching that "I Am Sam" movie where the father was mentally challenged and at one moment when he and his kid were playing, the song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" was playing. Months later I learned that stood for LSD.

Why would you use a druggy song for the most sincere part of the movie!?!

Iron, iti's only partly speculated that it is a drug song. Anotehr story is that john lennon wrote it after his son gave him a picture of a girl in the sky with diamonds.

Good movie.

McCartney wrote most of it anyways.

And also, LSD isn't even in the same category as other drugs, it has proven uses in psychotherapy.

The song really doesn't quite describe it anywas, Sgt. Peppers is the one that does that.

1/5ths of above information was from wikipedia. Except my opinion on that movie, because it was really good.

Not a drug song. Also, 3 out of 4 Beatles said that it was based off a drawing by Lennon's son. The other Beatle never said anything about it.
