You know why I quit going to GameFAQs? To me, there is so much wrong with the place that they refuse to fix because they would be "wrong" that it became too unbearable to stand anymore. Hell, even if I wanted to go back to GameFAQs, I'm sure I'd be suspended by the end of the week just because of how used I am to laid-back, speak your mind message boards like LL and RIA.

After almost 7 years, this message board still thinks of it's users like retards running around with scissors.

Here's an actual quote from a former GameFAQs Moderator...

The site does not have a Private Message system. Why? Because the mods would have a hard time monitoring what is being sent through the PM system.

So the basic theme is that they think all their users are a bunch of retarded monkey children who will do anything they can to break a rule so may as well live in the old ages of internet forums. I understand no avatars and pics for speed and simplicity but the examples I posted show what the staff is all about.

So, in effect, do NOT blame ALL the GameFAQs Moderators. Blame the fucked up, stupid system that the Internet has obviously outgrown.

The thing is, when you call Bush a monkey it's a commentary on his intelligence. That's fine, and it'd probably be acceptable to call Obama dumb too. When you call Obama a monkey, because he's black and black people have a bad history with being called monkeys, you're saying something totally different. Your intentions are irrelevant, since the fact of the matter is you made a racist comment.
