Contacts?

I got my contacts...they are a pain in the ass to put in and take out >.< Yes, I am a first time wearer!

Yeah well, its hard putting them in for the very first time. My doctor slave drove me into keep trying, then taking them out I couldn't do the "pinch" way that they showed me. I came up with my own, but they say I am gonna tear the contact like that. x.x; Thankfully they are only a trial pair...

i remember when i first tried to put them in... i was laughing because my doctor was trying to kepp my eye open and was shoving her finger in my eye    i always thought taking them out was the easiest part

Mine had me do it myself, both taking in and out. I couldn't stop laughing cause of teh look on her face. Plus it didn't help that she had to keep getting up to sign for packages.

Did they have you do the steady increase of wear time? I am supposed to do 4 hours tomorrow then 5 on Sunday and so on until I hit 8 hours.

yeah they did, but i just said "screw it" i needed the contacts because at the time i was playing basketball and my glasses wounded up on the floor atleast once every quarter.  i wore my contacts as much as i wanted. the only side effect was a few head aches in the beginning, but now they're comfortable to wear for the entire day^^

Ahh, well they have me on a trial pair that isn't exactly my 'script so then I can get used to the feeling. I'll wear'em at the club tomorrow just so then I don't have to worry about my glasses.

Ouch, why didn't they have you get the sports goggles for basketball? Too expensive compared to the contacts?

Sport googles suck hard. I used them for baseball one season because I lost all my contacts. >____>

well i didn't like the sports goggles... and i really didn't like my glasses, so i got contacts ^^ now i use them when i play my sports or just hanging out with friends

Awww first time wearer? I do this for a living...putting contact lenses in and out of people's eyes and teaching them how to go about doing it themselves. It'll get pretty easy once you get used to it.

Out of curiousity...are you wearing Toric lenses?

Yeah, you get used to it after about a week. But once you get used to them you never wanna wear glasses again.

Contacts > glasses. I've been wearing contacts since Grade 8 (I'm going into 11) and they're a lot more convenient than glasses. And I likes them! Except for when people ask if I wear contacts (I have blue contacts, but I'm Native. Not many Natives with blue eyes, so it raises quesitons).
